Morning,
At the Kentucky Women Writers Conference, which “has become the longest running annual festival of women writers in the nation.”
A weekend of readings, writing, poetry slams, conversation (and Yes, food and wine) in the Kentucky Bluegrass. Any other Plussers attending?

Hi, everyone. The opening talk was by poet Molly Peacock, who wrote The Paper Garden, An artist begins Her Life’s Work at 72, about Mrs. Mary Delaney, a famous botanical artist who worked in paper in the late 1770s. It’s about her, but it’s underlying theme is that creativity and artistry is not dictated by age but rather by discovery of self at completely unexpected moments….and using them to create, invent, write, paint…or whatever it may be. Cheryl Machat Dorskind you would have loved Molly and her talk.

Would be there in a heartbeat if my Lear jet wasn’t in dry dock. {>_<}. Have a good weekend and have a few for those absent.
(Serves me right for attempting a play on words)

Whew….what a Freudian slip and a half that one was dawn ahukanna! But I’ll take it. There are some fabulous writers here. I did not know until I arrived that this is the longest-lived conference in the States – for women that is. Since 1979. Kentucky. Who knew?
