Good morning, everyone,
What if we were able to see our lives as poetry in motion? What if we were to begin our days thinking of ourselves as dancers of life?
I must share the post of my G+ friend Kena Herod, who curates wonderful videos and images of dance, one of (in my opinion) the more unsung of the arts and one of the most important arts in terms of its ability to impact the way we feel, leaving us astounded, breathless, enriched by beauty and creativity. Take a moment to view this extraordinary video of Guillaume Cote in action, enhanced with motion-graphics so that you can see the power and majesty of this man’s body and talent.
What if we were able to see our lives in this way, even without his skill as a dancer…what if we were to imagine our lives as holding, as containing, as encompassing these characteristic of dance – fast and slow, graceful and powerful, strong and soft, the masculine blended fully with the feminine? Flying through the air with the music and landing on the boards to the beat?
What could we accomplish? Who would we become? What could we create? How would we end our days differently than they begin? What would be our legacy? In our hearts, we are all artists…
This is very beautiful. Enjoy. And thank you Kena Herod.
Have a lovely day, all.
Giselle

You’re welcome Giselle. Good morning to you and everyone else! And thank you too for putting such lovely words to this poetry in motion–Exactly what I needed to hear today! Oh I almost forgot to mention: I’ve seen Mr. Cote perform several times. He’s as wonderful live and onstage. He also happens to be married to one of the ballerinas in the company, the lovely Heather Ogden. They are an amazing pair to behold!

You are welcome Leonardo Helton. There is an audience here on G+ waiting for you whenever you are ready. And thank you 1,000 times John Kellden. Hello Kena Herod perhaps there is solidarity in the dance here on G+? Methinks so!

Giselle Minoli Mille merci, for this wonderful piece. It leave a hunger in my mind for more beautiful things. I was hoping (as this clip stirred my soul) to see Guillaume grab two écharpe and continue his performance with them flowing in the air. But I guess that is just my imagination going ahead of any performance that was meant to be presented…
Oh well, it is good to dream and to prepare oneself for something to come, like a visit to an opera house, or a ballet presentation, or….

It has a soothing feeling and yet it leaves a hunger for more harmony and soul liberation! One with our surrounding, one with nature, one with our one source (zero energy level).
